Posted

May 11, 2020 -- TAP-IN wants to remind all East Bay residents in need that the organization is located temporarily in space generously offered by the Barrington Presbyterian Church, 400 County Road. Its food distribution service is in operation from 9 a.m to noon, Monday – Friday, at its new location. There is an abundant supply of groceries available for both its regular clients as well as families economically impacted by Covid-19 from East Providence, Bristol, Warren, and Barrington. Fifty-pound parcels of food and toiletries are being distributed and those in need are encouraged to participate.

Social distancing and face mask requirements are in place. Barrington Presbyterian Church offers a convenient location, with ample parking at the rear of the building and convenient RIPTA bus service on County Road.

TAP-IN anticipates an August return to its location on the lower level of the Barrington Public Library that it shares with the Senior Center, the Friends of the Barrington Library and the Barrington Preservation Society. Its newly designed space will include an enlarged distribution area, client choice pantry on the first floor, and handicapped access.
