Stella Preite, age 87, of Waterman Ave. East Providence, died February 15, 2020 at East Gate Nursing Home. She was born on April 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Leo and Carmella (Cimini) Petel. She was formerly married to the late Augustine Preite and was predeceased by her loving companion Manuel Vierra.

She worked as a folder at Union Wadding Company for many years.

She is survived by her daughters; Regina Giroux and her husband Gerard of N. Providence, Susanne McCrary and her husband Michael of Wakefield, Punky Donna Preite and her wife Linda Rodriguez of Providence, 4 grandchildren; Kyle, Brandon, Brittany and her husband Kevin, Michael and his wife Kailey and 1great grandson Mac. She was the sister of Helen Cook of Rumford and the late Santa Chaplow, Yvonne Harris, Hank Petel and Armond Petel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, (2/21) at 9am in St. Margaret’s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are omitted.
