Shirley (Bonoyer) Furtado, 91, of Bliss St., East Providence, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 14, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She is the wife of George H. Furtado.

Born Feb. 18, 1930, in Ware, MA, she is the youngest child of the late George and Flora (Gaudette) Bonoyer.

In addition to husband of 68 years, she leaves her children, George (Martha) Furtado Jr. of Warwick, Barbara Furtado of Cranston, and David (Patricia) Furtado of East Providence; and her granddaughters, Victoria and Elizabeth.

She was the sister of the late Charles Bonoyer, Edward Bonoyer, Dorothy Biltz, Evelyn Cummings, Alice Huntley, Helen Fox and Mary Rooney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 22, at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be private. Visitation will take place in church before Mass from 9am until 10am.
