Sarah (Simbron) Ledo, 90, of the Redfern Apts., formerly of Wellington St., East Providence, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Monday, November 21, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Ledo.

Born Sept. 26, 1927, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Evangelina (Brum) Simbron. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.

She leaves a son, Kenneth A Ledo, Battalion Chief EPFD, ret. and his wife Sharon of Rehoboth; three daughters, Kathleen M. “Kay” Crowley and her husband Stephen of Riverside, Cheryl A. Enos and her husband Charles of Rehoboth, and Susan Kearney-Kaplan of Riverside; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was also the sister of Dennis Simbron of East Providence, Florence Carey of Riverside, the late John Simbron and the late Delores Vierra. In addition to her husband she was predeceased in death by her son-in-law, Richard Kaplan.

Her funeral will begin Monday, Nov. 27, at 8am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday evening, 6pm until 9pm.
