Ruth M. (Foehr) Hart, 94, of Rumford, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Hart, Sr., for fifty-six loving years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Sherman) Foehr.

Ruth worked as the building clerk for the Lincoln Water Department for many years until her retirement in 1984. She was an avid Bingo and Bridge player and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years. Above all, Ruth was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all who’s lives she touched.

Ruth leaves seven children, Beverly M. Hart of Cumberland, Donald W. Hart and Wilfred Hart, Jr. both in Florida, Gail R. Taber in Idaho, Nancy L. Hart in California, Peter J. Hart of East Providence and Robert S. Hart of Dallas, Texas; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David A. Hart and the sister of the late Raymond Foehr.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Mausoleum Chapel, One Rhode Island Ave., Johnston.
