Rosemary T. Rapoza

Rosemary T. Rapoza, 80, of East Providence, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert Rapoza of East Providence. Born in New York, she was the daughter of William and Esther (Deutch) Capezza.

Mrs. Rapoza was a librarian in East Providence for over 20 years before retiring. She was an avid gardener and animal lover who thoroughly enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles.

Rosemary was a loving, devoted mother with a warm heart who was loved by many. She leaves five children: Louise Hindman and her husband Kirk of Lincoln, Rosemary Rapoza and her partner Bill Burke of Warwick, Robert Rapoza and his wife Lorie Martin-Rapoza of Barrington, Michael Rapoza and his wife Martha Rubi-Rapoza, Cathryn Vasconcelos and her husband Henrique of East Providence. Rosemary leaves eight grandchildren: Richard Farrands, Nate Hindman, Karina, Marcos, Grace and Samuel Rapoza, Lydia and Sofia Vasconcelos. Rosemary also leaves three sisters, Joan Topalian of Narragansett, Estelle Yoakum of Kansas and Rose Marie Traina of Nevada.

Funeral service and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 10:30 AM with a service to follow at 12:00 noon at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Rosemary’s name be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
