Rose (Tiano) Walters

Rose (Tiano) Walters, 88, of Robinson St., East Providence, passed away December 9, 2018, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Henry Walters.

Born Feb. 7, 1930, in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pietro “Peter” Tiano and Catherine (Mazza) Tiano. Rose worked for many years in the jewelry industry. She had also worked as a cook at the former family owned Five Acres Restaurant in East Providence. She had been an active member of the East Providence Senior Center and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Theodore “Ted” and Cynthia Walters of Riverside; her grandson, Derek; her granddaughter, Ashlee; and 2 great granddaughters, Michaela and Lacee. She was the sister of Pauline Gernt of East Providence and of the late John Tiano. She was the loving companion of Frank Silva of East Providence.

A funeral service will take place Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Sunday from 11am until 1pm.
