Ronald A. Jansen

Ronald A. Jansen, 86, formerly of Riverside, died peacefully on January 4, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Lawlor) Jansen.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Kellard D. and Ardice (Cathcart) Jansen, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mr. Jansen was the owner and operator of the Ronnie Jansen Building Contractors Co. from 1958-1994.

Ronald was a communicant of St. Luke Church. He was a member of the Wanunetonomy Country Club, Middletown for 30 years where he enjoyed golfing.

Mr. Jansen was a United States Navy Veteran.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by three daughters, Sharon L. Jarvis of Boynita Springs, FL, Kelley Ann Freeman of Coventry and Maria Palethrope of Barrington; a son, Mark F. Jansen of Riverside; a brother, Richard E. Jansen of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Kellard Jansen and Patricia Allard.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2017 in the

W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
