Rocky Corrado, (Sam) Sabatino 74, of Polk County, FL, originally from Riverside, RI, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his children on April 23, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Dorothea (Furtado) and Samuel Corrado. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Corrado and their three children, Sabatino (Sam) Corrado and his spouse Alana, Dawn Corrado and her fiance' Philip, and Scott Corrado and his fiance' Jill; their 10 grandchildren: Carl, Julia, Kayla, Maia, Sammy, Camille, Rocco, Antonio, Marisa, and Evan; and his three siblings Frederick Corrado, Shirley Laurendeau, and Robert Corrado.

In his early twenties, he was recognized as the first Ft Ord soldier to complete the "50-Mile Swim and Stay Fit Patch" Program. He founded SDS Disposal, Inc in Johnston, RI. He was driven by his innate motivation to work hard. Within his family he coined the phrase "people do what people wanna do". If his life were to be summed up in a song it would be best understood by the words Paul Anka wrote and Frank Sinatra sang so perfectly in "My Way." He will always be remembered by any life he touched no matter how briefly.

To celebrate his life his family will respectfully host a Private Service. In lieu of flowers please make any donations on his behalf to the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
