Roberta M. Mayers, 85, of Rumford passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Ellis V. Mayers. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Dolan) Dixon. Roberta was a bookkeeper for the New England Printed Tape Company for over 20 years before she retired. She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church and faithfully attended daily Mass. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Jo-Ellen Ferreira and her husband Richard of Rumford, two sisters, Beverly Dixon Fortune of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Nancy Harraka of Rumford, three grandchildren, Richard Ferreira, Jr., Courtney Ferreira Huth and Jaime Burgess and three great grandchildren, Viktoriya Huth, Alyona Huth and Lincoln Burgess. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 1-4. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Margaret’s Church would be appreciated.
