Robert F. “Bob” Fricker

Robert F. “Bob” Fricker, 91, formerly of Dartmouth Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 26, 2023 at the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pauline F. (Fogge) Leonard and the late Mildred (Leis) Fricker.

Born in East Providence, a son of the late Stevens J. and Alice (Taylor) Fricker, he lived Riverside for 31 years and Barrington for two years.

Robert was a graduate of Central High School, East Providence Class of 1955.

Mr. Fricker was a plant manager for Davol Taunton Printing, Taunton, MA for 55 years.

Robert was a communicant of St. Luke Church, Barrington and a communicant and greeter at St. Brendan Church, Riverside. He was a past Master at the Anawan Grange Hall, Rehoboth. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America Commissioners Staff for 62 years.

Bob was an auctioneer for over 55 years and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Fricker was a United States Army Medic Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife of 19 years, he is survived by a son, Bob Fricker Jr. of KY; a daughter, Kathy Popleik Fricker of West Warwick; three step-children, Joseph Leonard of Virginia, Beth Lagasse of Maine and William Leonard of Maine; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and a brother, Douglas Fricker of CA. He was the brother of the late Alice Buckley, Gabrielle Parente, Steven, Joseph and Ronald Fricker and stepfather of the late Ann Marie Lachance.

His Funeral will be held on Thursday November 2, 2023 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
