Raymond H. Goulet, 75, of East Providence passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023, after a 16 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, with his wife of 52 years, Jeannette (Dye) Goulet by his side.

He was born on September 27, 1947, in Woonsocket, RI. He was the son of the late Hector and Yvonne (Rouette) Goulet. Raymond was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy and Rhode Island College. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After completing his service, he worked as a financial analyst for A.T. Cross, FDIC, and Thermo Scientific.

Ray, as he was known by all, was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and Grampy. He was most known for being an avid New York Yankees fan, and reminding many of that fact. He had the kindest smile and the quickest wit, which will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Janet (Goulet) Ferrari and her husband David of Mansfield, MA and two grandchildren, Morgan Arlene and Luke Neal. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Gervais of Woonsocket, RI. He was the brother of the late Robert Goulet and brother-in-law of the late Neal Dye.

The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Susan Whipple and the nursing staff of One South at The Cedars Nursing Centre, and Continuum Hospice of RI, for the extraordinary care Ray received.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. in the Hope Congregational Church, 120 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket, Avenue, East Providence.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to The Goulet Family Scholarship, Scholarship Foundation of East Providence, Inc. P.O. Box 154438, East Providence, RI 02915.
