Mildred L. Smith

Mildred L. Smith, 95 , of Angell Drive passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Linn Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Smith. Born in Savannah, Georgia she was a daughter of the late George and Eloise (Sims) Simmons. Mrs. Smith was an assembler for Uniroyal before she retired. She was a former member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Providence and while living in Georgia was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Savannah. She will be remembered as being a very kind & loving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking and baking for them. She leaves one daughter, Joan M. Senna of East Providence, one brother, Albert Simmons of New York and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donald Smith, Jr. and Isabel Anderson and sister of the late Ruby Gray, William, Clarence and John Simmons. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Friday June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 12 Noon.
