Michael W. Kieron, 45, of Merritt Road, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of Thomas M. and Ruthann (Flynn) Kieron with whom he made his home. Michael was a Curator at Roger Williams Museum in Providence. He served on the board of the Rhode Island Natural History Survey and was a member of the Rhode Island and Boston Mineral Hunters. He belonged to the Audubon Society, the New England Micro Mounters and numerous mineral and nature organizations. Besides his parents he leaves one sister, Stacie Resto and her husband Victor of Lawrence, Ma., his aunt & uncle, Sheila and Donald Jones of Virginia and several cousins. His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.
