MCNAMARA, VINCENT J., , died suddenly March 18, 2011 at Miriam Hospital. Born in Providence he was the beloved son of Louise (Rendine) McNamara of Rumford and the late Vincent J. McNamara. He was the grandson of the late Louis and Lena Rendine and the late Vincent and Eva McNamara. Vincent attended high school at Our Lady of Providence, received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting from Rhode Island College, and his MBA in International Business from Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. Vincent was a remarkable person who touched deeply so many lives professionally and personally. Vincent's enthusiasm for life, his love of the arts and travel, his keen intellect and his sense of humor were infectious and served as an inspiration to all those whom he encountered. Though his time here was short, Vincent lived a full life he supported the arts enthusiastically, surrounded himself with creative and artistic friends, traveled the world, and was politically involved in his community and in his country. Vincent would always have tickets to great shows and would always extend an invite to someone whom he knew would enjoy the performance. Vincent would always share his travels and good times with friends and family and we could always count on a call with wonderful and often funny stories as they were unfolding live everyone was included in his life's adventures (and there were many) no matter how near or far. Vincent was loyal and devoted to those to whom he was close and Vincent could be counted on no matter what. Vincent's warm smile, his beautiful sparkling blue eyes, his laugh and his presence which was bigger than life will remain in our hearts. Vince had strength of character and purity of heart that is rarely found he was a devoted son, friend and will be profoundly missed by all those who were blessed to have Vincent in their lives.Vincent lived in Rumford, Providence and Miami.

Vincent spent the last 20 years working in the field of business continuity management and was a respected leader and expert. Vincent's work took him to all corners of the globe. Vincent served as an executive for Sensata Technologies, DHS/Fema.Certifying Officer, GTECH, and Massachusetts Financial Services. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Regina McNamara Zwinklis and brother-in-law David Zwinklis of Smithfield, his nephew Jeffrey W. St. Onge,Phd, of Indiana and niece Erin Louise St. Onge of Smithfield, his aunt Christine Rendine Miley, cousins Brian and Edmund Miley. He also leaves his uncle Louis Rendine .Aunts Maryann McNamara Scanlon and Catherine McNamara and cousins, He is also survived by his business partner, Candace O'Brien, of Miami, Florida. His funeral will begin Friday at 7:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Kindly omit flowers.
