Mary Grace (Pezzelli) Goff Garrity

Mary Grace (Pezzelli) Goff Garrity, 92, of Rumford Towers, a lifelong resident of East Providence, died peacefully on Jan. 9, 2018, at the Cedars Nursing Center in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Bertram Goff and of the late Arthur Garrity.

Born Oct. 25, 1925, in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Mazzocca) Pezzelli. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church and a member of the St. Ann’s Society. Mary worked in retail and until recently was a proud Avon sales representative for many years.

She is survived by her son Michael Goff and his wife Angela of Providence, and her daughter Patricia Zisk and her husband Gerald of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Kimberly Brooks and her husband Donald, Jeremy Coleman and his wife Cristina, Gerald Zisk Jr. and his wife Christine, Joseph Soloman and his wife Cathy, David Soloman and his wife Karin; and her great-grandchildren, Jake Coleman, Ryan Brooks, Connor Brooks, and Jarrod Coleman and the Solomons, Emilie, Noel, Amy, Megan, Kristen and Michael.

She was also the sister of Edward Pezzelli and his wife Sybil of Rumford, the late Frank Pezzelli, and the late Pasquale “Pat” Pezzelli Jr.; and the sister-in-law of Ginger Pezzelli and Marie Pezzelli. Mary also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, from 5pm until 7pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Her funeral will begin Saturday, Jan. 13, at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will be private.
