Mary E. “Beth” (Clare) Santos
Mary E. “Beth” (Clare) Santos, 61, of Cypress Street, Riverside, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday August 18, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Steven J. Santos.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late David E. and Kathleen (McNamara) Clare, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.
Beth was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1976. A devoted Boston Red Sox fan she also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her loving family.
Besides her husband of 42 years, she is survived by a son, Steven J. Santos Sr. and his wife Heather of East Providence; a daughter, Kelly Carmone and her fiancé Dennis Silveira of Barrington; four brothers, Michael Clare, David Clare, Terrance Clare and James Clare; four sisters, Patricia Barth, Anne Annese, Kathleen Clare and Suzane Laverdiere; four grandchildren, Steven J. Santos Jr., Matthew Carmone, Madison Whittaker and Joseph Carmone and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday August 21, 2020 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Due to state restrictions only 15 visitors at a time will be allowed in the funeral home during calling hours.
