Mary B. Alfano

Mary B. Alfano, 83, of Riverside passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis G. Alfano to whom she was married 56 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Aristakesian) Boyajian. Mary was a secretary for the East Providence Police Department working in the detective division. She was a longtime communicant of St. Brendan’s Church and enjoyed reading and playing bingo with her friends. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves three daughters, Susan Place and her husband Jack of Barrington, Diane Fletcher and her husband Larry of Barrington and Nancy Kogut and her husband Steve of Cranston, one son, Michael Alfano and his wife Carole of New Hampshire, one brother, Paul Boyajian of West Warwick, one sister, Elizabeth Taylor of Florida and eight grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ann Busby, Oscar, Leo and Harry Boyajian. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-7.
