Marilyn “Lynn” (Moore) Green, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, with her family by her side at the Linn Health Care Center in East Providence, RI. Born in St Johnsbury, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Vienna (Brunelle) Moore. She was the sister of Richard and Robert Moore, and of the late Roger Jr., Sylvia LaPerriere, and Claire LaPerriere.

Lynn spent her entire life in the medical profession, working as a private duty nurse and later as an activities coordinator in several nursing homes until her retirement in 2014. She was a strong, independent woman and had a passion for helping others in any way that she could. She helped raise her younger brother when her own mother had to work two jobs. When her children were growing up, the neighborhood children called her Mama Green for the care and love she gave them. When her own children were grown, Lynn raised several foster children, some of whom, like Gina, continued to stay in touch through adulthood.

Lynn lived life to the fullest, and especially enjoyed swimming, knitting, opera, and was an avid reader. She was a social butterfly and loved discussion groups and book clubs. Lynn had many very close friends like Dotty Brigham and Yvonne Sandstroem.

She is survived by four children, Shelley Green, Kimberly Lemoi and her husband Larry, Stacy Kirkwood and her husband Joe, and Kristen Casey and her husband, the late James Casey of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She leaves behind her nine grandchildren Tim, Joey, Amy, Todd, Shelah, Hunter, Brendan, Josh, and Jack as well as six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sons Marc and Todd and her grandson Justin Green. She will be dearly missed.

The burial will be private.
