Marilyn A. Mattos, 75, and a 47-year resident of Griffith Drive, Riverside, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Stephen M. Mattos. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Germaine (Baillargeon) Martins. Marilyn was a bookkeeper for the ITT Grinnell Company. She was a communicant of St. Brendan’s Church and was involved in church activities. She was a Girl Scout Leader and was active in several Riverside organizations and sporting events. She leaves one daughter, Melissa A. LeClair and her husband Jay of Lagrange, Maine, one son, Stephen M. Mattos, Jr. of Riverside, three grandchildren, Miranda, Martie and Amber, three sisters, Sharon Poirier of Attleboro, Elaine Thibodeau of Seekonk and Gayle Clary of Seekonk and one brother, Kenneth Martins of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Keith Martins. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8.
