Maria Stad, 90, of Rumford, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Linn Health Care Center. She was the wife of Henry W. Stad to whom she was married 60 years. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Angelina (Soscia) Pecchia. Mrs. Stad was an avid gardener and loved cooking for her family. Besides her husband she leaves three children, Kimberly Stad , Bradford M. Stad and Christopher A. Stad, five grandchildren, Corey, Shannon, Erica, Jett and Luke, one great grandchild, Mika and two brothers, Anthony Pecchia and Paul Pecchia. She was the sister of the late Alphonse, Domenic, John, Sergio “Gene” and Ralph Pecchia. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McSTAY Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.
