Maria J. Perreira

Maria J. Perreira, 95, of East Providence, passed away Friday November 10, 2017 at the Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late August A. Perreira. Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Melo) Carreira. Mrs. Perreira was a jewelry worker for Delta Jewelry in East Providence before retiring in 1985. She leaves five sisters, Belmira Carreiro, Celia Pontes, Maria Raposo Branco, Margarida Carreiro, Olivia Raposo and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-6.
