Marguerite A. “Maggie” Swiszcz

Marguerite A. “Maggie” Swiszcz,94, of Connors Lane, Riverside passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home. She was the wife of the late Chester J. Swiszcz.

Born in Warren, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Marguerite E. (Boeniger) Myers. Mrs. Swiszcz worked for the Rolo Manufacturing Company before she retired. She was a very proud Army veteran of World War II and always enjoyed talking about her time in the service. She was an avid animal lover and was known for taking in stray dogs and cats. She also had a pet parrot that lived to the age of 53.

She leaves one daughter, Marguerite H. “Midge” Shadrick and her husband Robert, three grandchildren, Rebecca Carr and her husband Matthew, Amy LeBeau and her husband Mark and Molly Kiselica and her husband Corey, nine great grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Samuel Carr; Jack, Owen and Luke LeBeau; Cole, Claire and Cade Kiselica and her sister– in– law, Pat Myers. She was the sister of the late Marie Mussi, Raymond Myers, William “Bootsie” Myers and Viola Kaplonski.

Her funeral service and visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Contributions in her memory to the RISPCA would be appreciated.
