Lillian Ferreira, age 90, formerly of East Providence passed away on February 6, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her boys. She was the wife of the late William Ferreira, Sr. Born in Providence, on August 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Paul King Cunha and Maria Ferreira (Pragana) Cunha.
Lillian was a woman of faith, had a devotion to the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary every day. Her life was filled with kindness and love. She was the happiest when sharing time with her family and was an amazing baker.
She is survived by her sons, William Ferreira, Jr and wife Lucy of Bristol, Thomas E. Ferreira of Coventry and late daughter-in-law Maria Fatima, 4 grandchildren: Melissa Ferreira of East Providence, Jason Ferreira of Coventry, Shawn Ferreira of Lowell, MA, Katherine Ferreira of Bristol and 3 greatgrandsons: Ayden Jaxon, Cody Manuel and Cameron Thomas. She was the sister of Sandra Cardoso and Paul Cunha both of Providence and of the late Elizabeth Fontes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial is private. Calling hours will be in church on Wednesday from 9-10am prior to the Mass.
