"Lights up" on 2021 performing arts programming at JDP!

Posted

Throughout the pandemic, JDP has found creative, safe ways to keep children and young adults engaged in theatre from livestreamed cabarets to outdoor creative arts camps...but now, they are ready to bring their typical offerings back in full swing to the East Bay!

Act I of 2021 features:
• In-person rehearsals beginning for a "Junior Stage" (ages 6-13) production of Willy Wonka Kids, which is set to go up at an outdoor venue for the public in June
• The launch of a brand new "Your Stage" program which provides a semi-professional platform for college students to direct and produce their own productions, under the mentorship of JDP leaders.
• Auditions on March 5-6th for a "Your Stage" (ages 14-26) production of the hit Broadway musical, Something Rotten, which is set to be recorded as a "Video On Demand" performance available for public viewing in July
• Registration open for "Out Of This World" April Vacation Creative Arts Camp for children grades K-4, "Under The Big Top" Summer Vacation Creative Arts Camp for children grades K-4, and "Mad Scientists" Summer Vacation Creative Arts Camp for children grades 5-8
