Laura (Viveiros) Rego, of Circuit Dr., Riverside, passed away peacefully with family at her side, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Evergreen House. She was the wife of the late Anthony “Smitty” Rego.

Born May 3, 1929, in East Providence, she the daughter of the late Antonio and Laura (Goncalo) Viveiros.

The people most dear to her include nieces and nephews, Steven DeCosta, Ken and Sue DeCosta, Gary and Raquel DeCosta, Janice Clarke, Julie Meninno and Jeff and Christine Rego; cousins, Carol Bourgoin, David and Eleanor White, and Richard Tavares; and her “grandchildren”, Joey, Briana, Ella and Sophia. She was also the sister-in-law of James Rego and his late wife, Vivian.

Her funeral will begin Monday, July 31, at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Ave., Riverside. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, 5pm until 8pm.
