Kenneth J. Lema, 86, of East Providence, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Dolores A. (Roach) Lema. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward G. and Catherine F. (Mullen) Lema. Mr. Lema was a insurance agent for Starkweather & Shepley and also for AAA before he retired in 1994. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Society of the 3rd Infantry Division. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mary Catherine Lema and Elizabeth A. Lopez both of East Providence, four grandchildren, Kimberly, William and Nathan Lopez and Kenneth Spelman and two great granddaughters, Taylor and Khloe Babcock. He was the brother of the late Helen Ferreira. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
