Joseph Rochette, 96, of Bluff Street, Riverside, died peacefully on January 11, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Carlson) Rochette.

Born in Winnipegosis, Canada, a son of the late Alphonse and Blanche (Mouillerat) Rochette, he lived in Riverside for 62 years.

Mr. Rochette was a technician for the Pratt & Whitney Company, East Hartford, CT for 30 years before retiring in 1986.

Joseph enjoyed roller-skating and later in his life judging competitions.

Mr. Rochette was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a son, Leonard A. Rochette of Riverside; a daughter, Linda A. Langevin of Riverside; four grandchildren, Leonard J. Rochette, Matthew R. Rochette, George D. Langevin and Megan L. Langevin and five great-granddaughters, Devon, Cori, Lily, Sophie and Cora. He was the brother of the late Rita Gaboriault, Mary Jane Carvalho, Eva St. James, Frances Rochette and Ovila Rochette.

His funeral service will be held on Sunday January 14, 2018 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 6 p.m. Calling hours are Sunday 4-6 p.m.
