Joseph Cabral, 78, of Colwell St., East Providence, passed away suddenly at home Thursday, October 25, 2018. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Pine) Cabral.

A lifelong East Providence resident, he was born in Providence, March 27, 1940, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Sousa) Cabral.

He was a hard worker his whole life and worked for Washburn Wire and Corrigin Medical Center before he retired in 2005. He loved being with is family and his dog Emmy. It was clear how much they meant to him. He was a member of the Filibuster Club for over 30 years! Anyone that knew him knew he loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen and had enough of them to last a lifetime. It is through those stories that he will live on, and not a day will go by that he won’t be in our thoughts.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he leaves his son Joseph Cabral III and his wife Theresa, and was the father of the late Pamela J. Magrito. He also leaves behind his sister, Elaine Williams, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held All Souls Day, Friday, Nov. 2, at 10am in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5pm until 8pm.
