Joseph Amaral, 91, of Skycrest Ave., East Providence, passed away at home Monday afternoon, October 30, 2017. He was the husband of Dorothy (Medeiros) Amaral.

Born July 7, 1926, in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Frances Amaral. Mr. Amaral was an Army veteran of WWII.

In addition to his wife of 67 years, he leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Geny (Cancino) Amaral; and his grandchildren, Hope and Ross Amaral. He was also the brother of Lilly Burchard, and of the late Mary Kilroy, Bella Kilroy and Manuel Amaral.

His funeral will begin Friday, Nov. 3, at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday evening, 5pm until 8pm.
