Jose G. Ferreira, 85, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of the late Amelia (Faria) Ferreira.

Born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores he was a son of the late Miguel G. and Ana E. (Silveira) Ferreira. Mr. Ferreira worked for the Rhode Island Tool Company for 34 years before he retired. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and was also a member of the Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity.

He leaves two daughters, Mary Jo Lacerda and her husband Jose of Seekonk and Anna Curry and her husband Tom of Cumberland, two grandchildren, Caitlin Curry and Jack Curry and two sisters, Palmira Dutra of California and Teresa Andrade of Canada. He was the brother of the late Maria Medeiros, Miguel Ferreira and Antonio Ferreira.

His funeral and visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 9-10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P O Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 would be appreciated.
