John E. Vernon, 68, of East Providence passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Karen A. (White) Vernon.

Born in Lewiston, Maine he was a son of the late Hubert and Donna (Morrison) Vernon. John worked in sales for several flooring companies before he retired. He also worked as an Uber driver. John grew up in Braintree, MA and was a 1968 graduate of Braintree High School and a graduate of Grahm College.

Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Kristin Vernon and Kimberly Warzecha and her husband Jeffrey and he was the loving Pop to his two beloved grandsons Jaxson and Beckett. He also leaves five siblings, Joan Watson, Anne Vernon-Schell, James Vernon, Carol Ferreira and Paul Vernon. He was the brother of the late Richard Vernon.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Thursday 4-8.
