John Clifford Williams

John Clifford Williams, 70, of Rumford, Rhode Island passed away on February 1st at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, John was the beloved son of the late Norman E. Williams and Virginia (Pratt) Williams of Rumford, Rhode Island. John is survived by his former wife, Lauren Williams, their son Greg and his wife Didar, and his cherished grandchildren Cole and Sena. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Russo and husband Mike of Cranston, Norman (Bud) Williams of Rumford, Paul R. Williams and his wife Debra of Rumford, Barbara Larned and her husband Chris of Barrington and his sister Christine Williams-Miller of Glen Cove, NY, as well as many cousins including Susan Jay of Warwick. He was the beloved uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. John will be dearly missed by his friends, among them Jim Lyons and Jim Vierra. John grew up in Rumford, later moving to Plymouth, MA, Little Compton, RI, Providence, and recently returning to Rumford. John enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf with his friends, cooking and traveling. He had a 35-year career at Foley Fish in New Bedford, MA. Burial services will be private.
