Joan M. Gomes

Joan M. Gomes 54, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Miriam Hospital.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late August and Ezaltina (Andrade) Niederberger.

Joan was a Certified Nurses Assistant for many years. She loved music, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves one daughter, Jennifer Gomes of Massachusetts, two sons, Stephen Gomes and his wife Kayla of Seekonk and Gregory Gomes of East Providence, four grandchildren, Tatum Cullen, Michaela Duffy, Jackson and Nora Gomes, one sister, Diane Sullivan, two brothers, Daniel and David Niederberger and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5-7.
