Jean Silvia

Jean Silvia,72, of East Providence, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late David and Alice (Robinson) Williams. Jean was a school teacher who began teaching in Key West, Florida and continued teaching in the Pawtucket School Department for 32 years. She spent most of her career at Flora Curtis Elementary School and Fallon Memorial Elementary School, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls and served as a past Worthy Advisor of Pawtucket Assembly #3 Order. She also served as a student mentor at The San Miguel School in Providence for over 15 years. She is survived by her children, Troy Silvia and her daughter-in-law, Jessica and Taysha Paulo and her son-in-law, Bob, her brother, Jack Williams, and her two grandchildren, Jayla Jean and Jayden Paulo. She also leaves her husband Edward Silvia. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10AM in Park Place Congregational Church, 71 Park Place, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-7PM in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
