Jacob Anthony Crowell

Jacob Anthony Crowell, 28, of East Providence, died August 25th, 2018 after battling long term illnesses. He was born on March 28, 1990 in Pawtucket, RI.
He is a 2008 graduate of East Providence High School where he was student council president and captain of the football team. In 2013 he graduated from The University of Rhode Island and was currently working as the Camp Director of Camp Grosvenor in Saunderstown, RI.

Jake’s focus was life and not his illnesses. He will be remembered for his wit, loyalty, and selflessness to his family, friends, and the kids he worked with each day. Jake found ways to find the joy in every moment of his life. He knew how precious they were-like taking the time to feel the music of the Grateful Dead with a glass of Jameson in his hand.

Jake is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Trina Crowell (Blackmon) of East Providence. His sister, Rebekah Vieira, and her husband, Nuno, of Pawtucket, his brother, Derek Obert, and his wife and son, Jessalyn and Damien, of Brockton. Jake also leaves behind his faithful companion, his dog, Aoife.

Jake is at peace and in the loving hands of his late father, Dale.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday at 9:30AM in Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, 71 Manville Hill Road, Cumberland, RI. (www.holydormition.com). Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery, Lincoln, RI. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8PM with a Memorial Service at 7:30PM at the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
