Irene Souza
Irene Souza, 96, of Rumford Towers, and formerly of Madeline Drive, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her home.
Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Wright) Tomlinson. Irene was a homemaker and also worked for the former Shepards Department Store and the East Providence Health Center.
She leaves five children, Joseph Souza and his wife Phyllis, James Souza and his wife Cheryl, John Souza and his wife Cindy, Jean Mann and her husband Mark, and Jane Buonanno and her husband Anthony, 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Elaine Cropper and Ronald Tomlinson and the former wife of the late Joseph Souza.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will be private.
