Henry A. Perry

Henry A. Perry, age 90, of East Providence, died November 15, 2018 at Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Rachel L. (Tessier) Perry. Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Manuel and Marian (Correia) Perry.

He worked for the East Providence Fire Department as a firefighter and as an EMT. He was a veteran of the Korean War with the US Navy.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his children; David J. Perry and his wife Karen, Donna L. Alexander and her husband Michael all of Riverside, Nancy M. Jannitto and her husband Horace of Bristol, Karen S. Rice and her husband Daniel of W. Greenwich, 7 grandchildren; Michael, Joshua, Gregory, Niki, Samantha, Shannon and Daniel. He was the brother of Mary Perry of Bristol, Sylvia Telles of East Providence and the late Joseph Perry and Manuel Perry.

His funeral will begin on Tuesday at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with MILITARY HONORS. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory made be made to East Providence Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 4966, Rumford, RI 02916.

The family acknowledges the staff at Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home for their dedication, kindness and care given to Henry.
