The purpose of Haven UMC is to participate in God’s mission of compassion and justice by creating a positive community of friendship and love that resists against the negative structural impacts on people. Haven’s free music project can provide a positive spiritual and social opportunity for youth who might have a love and talent for music but might not have the opportunity to access traditional programs. Music and music education can be a powerful tool for the development of positive self-esteem, self-discipline and confidence while sharing God’s love.
