Gerald N. Tameo, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia R. (Cole) Tameo. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Michael and Olive (DellaValle) Tameo. Mr. Tameo was a Design Engineer for the G.T. Sheldahl Company before he retired and was also a Patented Inventor, holding several patents. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Tameo was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church, was a coach for the former basketball team and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Blueberry Hill Campers Association and was an avid fisherman and golfer. Besides his wife he leaves three children, Michael N. Tameo, MD and his wife Christine of Andover, Ma., Linda McCarthy and her husband John of Pembroke, Ma. and Denise and her husband Ted of Narragansett, one sister, Gloria Tameo Lynch, one brother, Raymond Tameo, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Janice Simpson and brother of the late Frank Tameo and Michael Tameo. His funeral will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 8:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Littleneck Cemetery, Riverside. Calling hours Sunday 4-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O.
