Frank Serio

Frank Serio 86, of Robin Hood Dr., Riverside passed away on Wednesday September 19 at Evergreen House Health Center. He was the husband of Lucy Ann (Pinelli) Serio. Born in Barrington, RI, he was the son of the late Francesco Serio and Giuseppina Albano, who had emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s. He was pre-deceased by Anna DiSalvo, Eva Medeiros, Jerry Serio and Louis Serio. Mr. Serio worked in sales for Tally Industries and Alpert’s Furniture, among other firms, before retiring. He served his country in the United States Air Force in the USA and in the Middle East. He was an avid baseball fan and a loyal supporter of the New York Yankees. Mr. Serio was a talented musician and played guitar in bands as a young man. His favorite genres included Country and Blues. Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves two sons, Richard Serio and his wife Lisa (Quinn) Serio of Riverside and Andrew Serio and his wife Joy (Englund) Serio of Buffalo, NY. His funeral and visitation will be held on Saturday October 6, 2018 from 9:00 -10:00 AM with a funeral service at 10:00 A.M. in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. A burial with Military Honors will immediately follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
