Estelle A. (Richards) Burton

Estelle A. (Richards) Burton, 83, of Lincoln Avenue, Riverside, formerly of Riverside Drive, Riverside Terrace, died peacefully on April 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Howard L. Burton.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles H. Richards Sr. and Estella E. (Lyons) Richards, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mrs. Burton was a clerk for the Amica Insurance Company for 24 years before retiring in 1997. She also was a cashier for the former Ray’s Market and Schroder’s Delicatessen for many years.

Estelle enjoyed scrapbooking, woodworking, cooking and antiquing during her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Lee Lorello of East Greenwich and Pamela Ann Lombardo of East Providence; a son, Richard Allen Burton of Riverside; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Charles H. Richards Jr, Thomas Richards, Linwood Richards and William F. Richards.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2021 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Ancient Little Neck Cemetery, Riverside. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
