Transition to Adult Services Workshop

Hello Parents and Caregivers.
The East Providence Local Advisory Committee For Special Education,
EPLAC, invites all to join our monthly meeting and workshop to be held virtually on Wednesday, February 24th at 6:30 pm.

This special workshop will focus on Transition to Adult Services for Students with Developmental Disabilities. An overview of the transition process will be presented along with important information from The Office of Rehabilitation Services, (ORS), RI Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH), and the RI Parent Information Network (RIPIN). The transition process begins at age 14. There will time to ask questions during this workshop, followed by a brief EPLAC meeting.

EPLAC is a committee comprised of parents of children with disabilities along with administrators, teachers and others with a concern for our children.
The committee meets throughout the school year to host workshops, and share concerns and information focused on special education and your child. Come, meet the committee, other parents, and E.P. School personnel. Bring your questions and ideas. We look forward to meeting you!

The public is welcome to attend all EPLAC meetings.
