Bands turning to Facebook Live for now

The East Providence Heritage Days Committee has released an update regarding scheduled upcoming mucic shows:

"It’s been a challenging time for musicians, venues, promoters and all who are in the music business. With Gov. Raimondo’s press briefing recently, our initial decision to reschedule HeritageFest to 2021 is now complete. In the wake of COVID-19 sidelining nearly every spring tour date, The Machine, America's top Pink Floyd show that we had scheduled for this July 12th is turning to Facebook Live to bring music to their fans.

The Machine kicked off a four week livestream www.facebook.com/themachinelive series with keyboardist Scott Chasolen last Saturday. The livestream generated over 21k organic impressions, 12k video views, 1.7k comments and over 100 shares. The series continues with another hour long set and Q+A on Saturday, May 2nd at 7:30pm ET with bassist, Dylan Kay, followed by guitarist Joe Pascarell on May 9th, and drummer Tahrah Cohen on May 16th.

We invite you to join us for this series as we all work together to maintain the excitement and enthusiasm of fans and the anticipation of live music's return to the main stage. Please feel free to share with your online community.

We are with you all in this and are grateful for the chance to stay connected however we can. Be safe, be well!
