Emilia C. Correia, 60, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the Gilberto M. Correia, to whom she was married 41 years.

Born in Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Artur and Ana Isabel (Paiva-Costa) DaCosta. Besides her husband, she leaves behind four children; Paul Correia and his wife Sandra of East Providence, Ana Smith and her husband Anthony of Cranston, Emanuel Correia and his wife Andrea of Seekonk,MA and Miguel Correia of East Providence, six grandchildren; Ciara Correia, Caylee Correia, Jacob Correia, Hope Smith, Charlotte Correia, Makayla Smith; one brother, Jose Antonio Costa of Strathroy, ON, Canada. She was the sister of the late Artur Da Costa and Lucia Silva.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 4th 2018 at 8:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St, Francis Xavier Church, 79 North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, from 5-7 PM.
