Elizabeth (Kornely) Miech

Elizabeth (Kornely) Miech 89, formerly of Woodcrest Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on January 18, 2024 at Saint Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich surrounded by members of her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Ralph P. Miech. They were married for 63 years.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Holsen) Kornely, she lived in Riverside since 1963.

She is survived by her loving children, Susan C. Sweeney and her husband Bob of Seekonk, MA, Joseph R. Miech and his Fiance Michelle Giovino of South Kingston, John R. Miech and his wife Lori of Warwick, Thomas J. Miech and his wife Pam of Coventry and Karen M. Stoneman and her husband Chris of Jericho, VT; twelve grandchildren and five great granddaughters, with one more on the way. She was the sister of the late Sr. Mary SSSF, Lois Kreska, Rev. Benno S.J. and Carol Ehlenbach.

Her funeral will be held Thursday January 25, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:15 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10:30 a.m. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
