Edwin Frank Burnett, 92, passed away unexpectedly at his home at Winslow Gardens on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. He was the husband of the late Louise E. (Chase) Burnett. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Arthur O. and Mabel L. (Grover) Burnett. Mr. Burnett grew up in Weymouth, Ma, and lived for many years in Wakefield, Ma. He was a graduate of Northeastern University, earning his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was an active member of Seekonk Congregational Church. He loved playing in chess tournaments and had a high rating. He also enjoyed traveling, museums, libraries and playing the organ. He leaves his longtime companion, Marilyn D’Antonino, one son, Philip Burnett and his wife Pilar of New York, one granddaughter, Alicia Burnett and his beloved dog, Clifford. He was the father of the late Cheryl Burnett. His funeral service will held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 12:00 noon in Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Avenue, Seekonk, Ma 02771. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Seekonk Congregational Church would be appreciated.
