Edward James “Bud” Bodell, 89, of Terrance Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on June 25, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris C. (Audette) Bodell for 61 years.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late James E. and Anna (Phillips Ryan) Bodell, he lived in Riverside for 85 years.

Mr. Bodell was a salesman and investigator for the Providence Gas Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1991.

Edward was a communicant of St. Brendan Church.

Mr. Bodell was a United States Army Veteran serving in Germany with Company D, 29TH Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army Forces Europe during World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Dupuis and her husband Michael of Lincoln; a son, Michael Bodell and his wife Karen (Durfee) Bodell of Riverside; four grandchildren, Jason, Michaela, Kaitlin and Ryan; two great granddaughters, Ryleigh and Ava and two sisters, Dorothea Hoskins of California and Phyllis Schifino of Riverside.

His funeral will be held on Friday June 30, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
