Edna Calderara Shire

Edna Calderara Shire, better known as “Caldy”, Passed away December 12., 2018.

Betty-Marie Baccari, (Pimental), 84, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Mary Louise (Almeida) Pimental. She was the wife of the late Leo Gagne and the late Anthony Baccari.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Jewelers Shipping Association and also worked as a secretary at Roger Williams Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews; Ruth Kronenberg, Doris Pimental, Michael Vieira, Joseph, Steven and John Machado, Teresa Silva, Rosemary Machado, Laurie Machado Kennedy, Dorothy Martin, Everett Costa, Kathleen de Andrade, Veronica Louise Medeiros, Patricia Labbe, Joanne Gervalis and the late Frank Vieira, Mary Louise Fernandes and Debra Jean Costa. Betty was predeceased by her siblings; Arthur and John Pimental, Emilia Machado, Mary Fernandes, Irene Wharem, Agnes Costa and Dorothy Costa.

Her funeral will begin on Tuesday at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-7pm.
