East Providence Historical Society sponsor Newman Cemetery Cleanup

The East Providence Historical Society will be sponsoring a cleanup and self guided informational tour of the Newman Cemetery (EP003) on the corner of Newman and Pawtucket Aves. on May 7th from 10:00-12:00. You can participate in either or both activities. We plan to clear brush and general debris. Please bring a rake and yard bag if possible. Brush loppers and leaf blowers would also be welcomed. Come learn the rich history of Newman Cemetery and participate in a self guided tour of some of our more noteworthy stones. We are looking to re-establish the Friends of Newman Cemetery group to do periodic grounds cleanup, gravestone cleaning, and documentation.
